African elephant |
African elephants are the biggest area creatures on Earth.
They are somewhat bigger than their Asian cousins and might be distinguished by
their bigger ears that look to some degree like the mainland of Africa. (Asian
elephants have more modest, adjusted ears.)
The elephant ears transmit high temperature to help keep
these vast creatures cool, yet some of the time the African hotness is
excessively. Elephants are partial to water and delight in showering by sucking
water into their trunks and spreading everything over themselves. A while
later, they frequently shower their skin with a defensive covering of dust.
